About
A paper for the people in the middle.
The Ref’s News exists for a community that football journalism usually treats as a punchline: the people holding the whistle.
We aggregate the best refereeing-related coverage from major outlets and from the small, dedicated blogs and forums where officials write for each other. Where we can add something — analysis, context, a long read — we publish original work too.
Most of what we publish is free. A small number of original long-form pieces are supported by a low-cost Haypenny micropayment. No subscriptions. No accounts. Pay a few pence for the article you want to read.
The site is independent and reader-funded. If you want to contribute, pitch, or correct us, the door is open.
